Significant Other

Based on my own individual, but not scientific research I have come to conclude that some time success will come by by sticking in what you believe in - or what you believed in. A snap survey indicates the most success full individuals have a significant other (wife/husband). The concept of synergy comes into play - sum of parts is greater than individuals combined. After having lived and shared a life with another sometimes this person may become the most annoying, piece of sh*t you have ever come across. When moments like these arise I urge everyone to take a step back and think of why you initially fell in love with this person. Sometimes you can see yourself looking back into when you initially met this individual. Some time long ago when you would do nothing but good and this person was an angel in your eyes. At these times one gets to realize that I think I actually love my wife/husband. The grass always seems greener on the other side but not many will be with you in sickness and in health. I have grown to understand this statement better over the few years. It is not always a smooth ride - marriage. Kudos to the ones that have held it down over the years.

Religion II

More men have died in the name of God than anything else. Albeit different gods from different religions but all founded on very similar belief systems with cultural or interpretive differences. These differences may be seen even within religions, one cannot count the number of different sects of Christrianity, Bhuddism, Islam or Taoism but I digress.
Most Religions are based on the fundamental that God is love, maybe worshipped differently with cultural or regional differences. Religion has always been historically linked with power and ultimately war. What better way to control the masses and motivate them than something beyond them? Is there a better way to suppress and opress people? Karl Max called Religion the opium of the masses, the first Roman Emperor (Emperor Constantine) apparently saw the potential to exploite it.
A man must stand for something or he will fall for anything but where does one draw the line with something that demands complete devotion like religion? How does one tell if what he is being told is coming from a true prophet or a sophist? Who gets a bigger crowd the true prophet or the better salesman?
God is love is religion and theres nothing much more to religion than that.

If there is a heart available.........

If there is a heart availabe then we will not allow it to go to waste..........

My will..............I am gonna leave my heart to my son

Well this is a lesson in parenting. Anyone who has considereed to become a parent will eventually come to realize this. You willl do anything for your offspring. If you have been a movie buff as much as I am well you tnow this is a really inspirational movie. The concept of parenthood is one that has been understood by few, me included until recently. Once one understands that a human life depends on him, life is different. You are a father - a sorce of life, in al ot of ways you a are the creator, the life of anotter human depends on what you do and do not do. Little girl looks up on you, little girl expects the world out of you. You realize you are the rock, the main pedesatal. Love cannot be engineered.........

Religion

I have over the years realized over the years that you have to beleive in at least something, Otherwise you beleive in nothing. My studies are not at all scientific but I have come to recognize that religious individuals will get to archieve what the average individual will not get to achieve. From the early dyays of man - he has always been able to beleive in at least something. Basic humanity rules dictate that you treat avery human the way you woulf want to be treated. Christianity, Hindu, Judaism, Judiism and Muslim religioun all dictate the same level of conduct. Treat you neighbour like yo want to be treated. Don't worry, i have not been priviledged to a different level of understanding, I am simply expressing convictions that have always been part of me somehow. I have come to realize that with religion will give you a starting and an end point, you recognize what you will and will not do - you get tocategorize what meams someting and what means noting to you. I hope I find you well. This is your boy DJ Swing.

Zvakapressa 2008 still....

Research has it that January 21 is one of the the MOST depressing days of the year. In Zimbo we used to refer to the depression associated to January as 'January Disease'. One of the major factors attributing to this 'January Disease' is debt / money issues. In January kids are back to school and we have just come from the Xmas and new year's holidays where we probably overspent a lil bit. We all know how expensive school fees were in Zim. Above that kids needed uniforms and school supplies. The situation is almost the same to Zimbos overseas - in the diaspora. In most states the weather is bitterly cold and we do not have a natural affinity for the cold. One good thing for most of us is that the end of January spells minor relief as we receive those widely anticipated tax refund checks. To most this is a time to let loose and enjoy the small fortune. Dont forget kubhadhara zvikweriti nema credit cards and also to save up for tough times ahead. Let us know your thoughts on this. DJ Swing....

It's been a while!!!

It has been a while since I have done some serious blogging. Well what's been happening? Nothang much I can say. Well over the Christmas holidays I was privilledged enough to visit the UK - London as people commonly refer to the place (although London is a city within England , which is part of the UK bla bla bla) . Well the party scene over in the UK is really happening I should say. In the UK I managed to hang out with the likes of the world famous Chris Goldfinger and World clash Champs Mighty Lion. Going back to how I started the blog - my main motive was to keep my Zimbo community well informed about the entertaiment scene here in the States, especially here in the Midwest. Back to my hometown Detroit, Dee'toi - D-Tweezy as we know it New Year was a major buzz kill for me I am sorry to say. Well for I change I decided to go to this house party. It was bad - really bad. What kind of fuc*in' New Year's party is there no countdown? Man the music was just bhlaah and people ended up taking off before 3am as they were so bored. I guess I know where not to go next time, anyways I'm geting too old for this sh*t. There is that time when one realizes that maybe its time to retire from this PARTY buz. I hope I find all my readers well, sorry the post is kinda all over the place today. Take it eay in 2008 and as always - stay safe.

The Venn Effect - revisited.

Through observation at several parties, social events and gatherings I have noticed an interesting phenomenon I have decided to coin the VENN effect. I have noticed some Zimbos tend to gravitate towards lovers / ex-lovers of fellow Zimbos. Actually this phenomenon is not only true of Zimbos but for most social groups. For example it is not uncommon to hear that John's ex (fictional name) is now dating one of his friends after breaking up with him. Ideally one may say there is nothing wrong with this phenomenon but there usually is a stigma attached to such relationships especially in the Zimbo community. The problem is eventually everyone in one community is eventually linked to everyone through a former or current girlfriend or boyfriend. I am sure you have witnessed numerous examples of this situation. My thought is people in general tend to be attracted to others close by. It could be co-workers, classmates or in this situation friends partners within the same circles. Once again this is Zimbo Party Central, bringing you the latest and pertinent Zimbo party news from around the world, your thoughts on this topic...Dr. Swing
